Meet the Providers

John Chamberlain, MD FAAP FACP

Dr. Chamberlain is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and is the recipient of many honors for his mentoring of Med-Peds Residents.

He has been in practice since 1981 after completing his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital . He attended University of Nebraska for both college and medical school and is a member of AOA, the national medical honor society.

Dr. Chamberlain has worked extensively with both Preferred care and Blue Choice in addition to his work with the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Physicians.

His interests include roller blading, biking and he is an avid fan of The Big Red .

John and Cindy reside in Greece and have 4 sons.


Richard Sullivan, MD FAAP

Dr Sullivan is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine . He has been in practice since 1982 after completing a residency in pediatrics at Strong Memorial, having attended Georgetown University for both his graduate and undergraduate degrees.

He is a member and past president of the Rochester Pediatric Society and has worked for 20 years with Blue Choice, Preferred Care and GRIPA. He sat on the Board of Cooperative Education Board and has been active with educational problems of his patients.

His interests include sailing and hockey and has done volunteer medical work in Rosebud, SD and Honduras . He enjoys spending time with his 4 children and his spouse, Suzanne.

Lisa Smith MD, FAAP

Dr. Smith is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She is a Clinical Instructor in Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine . She attended Gannon University where she completed the Physician Assistant program. She subsequently graduated from University of Maryland (Summa Cum Laude) and completed her residency at the University of Rochester . She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (the national medical honor society) and the Monroe County Medical Society.

Dr. Smith is one of the local experts on Punxsutowney Phil and she is an avid supporter of her church, helping them construct a church in Chile, South America.



Kristi Cowell, MD

Dr. Cowell is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  She grew up near Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She recieved an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University.  During medical school she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.  Her residency training in both internal Medicine and Pediatrics was completed at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Cowell is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Physicians.  She holds teaching appointments in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester.

She and her husband, Brian, live in Rochester with their dog, Lindy Ruff, and enjoy running, hockey, and outdoor activities.

Susan Kindel, MD

Dr. Kindel grew up in southeastern Connecticut.  She received her undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry from Virginia Tech and the degree of Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut.  Her residency training in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics was completed at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Kindel is a member of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.  She holds teaching appointments in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Kindel lives with her dog, Bailey, in Rochester.

Robin Gallob, RN, MS

Robin Gallob, is a pediatric nurse practitioner and native of New Jersey.  She holds a BS in nursing graduating Summa Cum Laude and a BA in Developmental Psychology graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Rochester.  Her MS in Primary Care Nursing was also obtained from the University of Rochester in 1986.  She is a charter member of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society.  In addition to clinical practice at Strong Memorial Hospital, she has taught nursing students at Keuka College and is on the faculty at the University of Rochester.

Ms. Gallob has an interest and has studied a variety of complementary and alternative medicine modalities, including self-hypnosis, energy medicine, aromatherapy and craniosacral therapy.
